Roman tomb, Hisarya
The Roman tomb in the town of Hisarya is one of the most remarkable and well-preserved ancient buildings in the region. It is located at the southern end of the town, near the mineral spring Momina tear. The tomb dates back to the end of the 4th century.
It consists of a vaulted stairway and a burial chamber. Six niches are built symmetrically on its four sides. The walls of the chamber are painted in motifs of floral ornaments, and on the floor is a multi-coloured mosaic panel in geometric ornament. [...]
