Malyovitsa Peak, Rila Mountain
Malyovitsa peak is located in Rila mountain. It's 2729m high. It is one of the highest peaks in Rila. It is popular among climbers because of its alpine character and is one of the peaks which is most visited. The route from Malyovitsa Central Mountain School to Malyovitsa hut is about 40min. It takes about 3 hours to climb from the hut to the top. We move at an altitude of about 1000m. The path is well marked and you can not lose yourself. It crosses the so-called "terraces" (leveled plots) used for relaxation. You reach Elenino Lake after the last terrace. You can take the traditional route which is safer. Another route leads to the steep northern slope. You need to have more experience, if you take it.
