Medieval town - Cherven Fortress
The medieval city-fortress Cherven is located about 30 km south of Rousse. Cherven is one of the most important military-administrative centers of the Second Bulgarian Kingdom. A big feudal castle, fortress walls, underground water supply passes, administrative buildings, churches, streets, residential buildings and workshops are excavated there. The fortress tower is also preserved. There is a car park and a restaurant near the fortress.
