Sopot Town
The town of Sopot is located at the foot of the central part of The Balkans. Its population is about 9000 people. The altitude is about 400 m. The writer Ivan Vazov was born there. Over the centuries, the following crafts have been developed: production of wool, weaving, homespun tailoring, milling wheat and more. The first glass factory on the Balkans was opened there. Sopot is one of the centers of national liberation uprisings.
