"St. Demetrius Basarbovski" Rock monastery, Basarbovo Village
The Basarbovski rock monastery is located near the village of Basarbovo and 10 km away from the town of Rousse. The Basarbovo Rock Monastery dates back to the 2nd Bulgarian Kingdom. It is the only active rock monastery in Bulgaria. The water in the well of the monastery is considered to be healing. The monastery does not offer accommodation.
