"St. Nedelya" Church, Sofia City
"St. Nedelya" church was built in 1867. Most probably the initial church was built in X c. It was made of wood and that was the reason why a decision was taken to built a new church. On 16 April 1925 terroristic act was committed in the church by the comunists. Many people died and many were wounded. The aim of the act was to kill Tsar Boris III, who was supposed to be in the church, but he was late for the service.
