"St.Nedelya" Arapovski Monastery

Arapovski monastery "St.Nedelya" is located 8km from Asenovgrad. The road is dirty for about 1.5 km. , but it is accessible by car. The monastery was founded in 1856. The Arapovski monastery is the only monastery that was built during the Ottoman slavery. The monastery complex includes several two-storey and three-storey residential and farm buildings, as well as a large cross-dome church. In the southern part of the courtyard there is a large stone tower, which is associated with the name of Angel voivode, who was also the main donor for the construction of the monastery.
