The Danovo School, Perushtitsa Town

The Danovo School, Perushtitsa Town

"Danovo school" was built in 1850 with the own funds of the locals. The first teacher in it was the famous Bulgarian Renaissance teacher Hristo Gruev Danov famous for his literary activity (1828-1911). He introduced secular education through the mutual teaching method and opened a Sunday school. A picture gallery is located in the former school at present.
