The Seven Rila Lakes, Rila Mountain
The Seven Rila Lakes are situated in the Northwestern Rila between 2095 and 2535 m altitude. The name of each of the Seven Rila lakes reflects a peculiarity of the lake. The seven lakes are: Salzata, Okoto (also called Heart), Babreka, Bliznatsi, Trilistnika, Ribnoto, Dolnoto. The lakes can also be reached by a lift. The climb to the highest lake "Salzata" is steeper. One of the starting points for hiking is Lira Hotel. The route from the hotel is about 2 hours and a half.
