Tuida Fortress

Fortress "Tuida" is a late antique and medieval fortress located on the hill "Hisarlaka" in the northeastern part of Sliven. It was built in the 4th century AD and was one of the most important fortresses in the region in the Middle Ages. In the past the area was inhabited by Thracian tribes, ancient Romans, medieval Bulgarians. Tourists can see the different parts of the walls, towers and entrance gates of the fortress. It is one of the most popular tourist attractions in the area. From the site of the fortress you can enjoy a unique view of the park "Sini kamani" and the town of Sliven.
